How to Socialise in Different Crowds and Stay True to Yourself (Thinking Session)
October 13, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm AEDT
Sticking to who we want to be in different social crowds can be difficult at times. Maybe we’ve played the role of a chameleon, maybe we’ve been a people pleaser, maybe we’ve created a new version of ourselves and don’t know how to act with our old friendship groups.
Fear of rejection is an innate fear of human beings. Sometimes staying true to who we are in social crowds goes against what we are innately wired to do and that is fit in at all costs. This may mean that we abandon who we want to be to be what we think others want us to be. Putting up a mask in other words.
This workshop is for you if you are someone who is letting go of old ways of being but still exposed to old friendships groups where you feel you may be influenced to return to the old version that group knows you as or if you are someone wanting to move forward to build better social circles to support who you want to be.
In this session we will explore:
- How to attract people who support you
- Understanding how to show up from your values in social settings
- Identify warning flags of possible social groups that do not support who you want to be
Note; This is a ‘thinking’ session which means it’s primarily focused on equipping you with tools, techniques and strategies that relate to this topic. Some of these tools may be new to you, whilst other might be familiar and present an opportunity for you to re-visit them and strengthen them. After the session there will be an optional unrecorded Q&A session that you can attend.
