Loneliness – the Science & How to Address It

Did you know there is a difference between being lonely and feeling alone?
In 2021, Australians reported feelings of loneliness increased from 35% to 44%. This means 1 in 4 Australians feel lonely 2 or more times per week. So let’s look at what loneliness actually is, why you can feel lonely and how to move through it to feel more connected both to yourself and others
In this workshop you will learn:
- The difference between loneliness and feeling along
- The anatomy & physiology of loneliness
- Factors that impact feeling lonely
- How to combat lonliness
Note; This is a ‘thinking’ session which means it’s primarily focused on equipping you with tools, techniques and strategies that relate to this topic. Some of these tools may be new to you, whilst others might be familiar and present an opportunity for you to re-visit them and strengthen them. After the session there will be an optional unrecorded Q&A session that you can attend.
