Recognising Overwhelm & Distraction (Thinking Session)

A 2018 study in the UK showed that 74% of people had felt so stressed they had been overwhelmed and felt unable to cope. 

51% of adults who reported feeling stressed also noted feeling depressed and 61% reported feeling anxious. 

The study also noted behavioural changes with 46% reporting they ate unhealthily due to stress and 29% started or increased their drinking. 

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn how to recognise feelings like stress and overwhelm before you get to your 10 out of 10.
  • Pinpoint your distraction techniques
  • Learn more effective ways to deal with stress and overwhelm
  • Be able to reduce reactive behaviours and when you do notice overwhelm coming up for you
  • Move through stress and overwhelm quicker

Note; This is a ‘thinking’ session which means it’s primarily focused on equipping you with tools, techniques and strategies that relate to this topic. Some of these tools may be new to you, whilst other might be familiar and present an opportunity for you to re-visit them and strengthen them. After the session there will be an optional unrecorded Q&A session that you can attend.
