Self Compassion vs Self Esteem

April 13, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm AEST

Self compassion, somewhere we can go when we fall short. Self-esteem refers to the degree to which we evaluate ourselves positively. It represents how much we like or value ourselves, and is often based on comparisons with others. In contrast, self-compassion is not based on positive judgments or evaluations, it is a way of relating to ourselves.

Come learn with us as we explore the difference between Self Compassion & Self Esteem and how you can begin cultivating these two skills to better improve your relationship with yourself and your overall ability to move through life’s challenges.

In this workshop we will be exploring:

  • The difference between self compassion vs self esteem
  • Why these two seemingly similar traits could make all the difference in your life
  • How to begin cultivating them

Note; This is a ‘being’ session which means it’s primarily focused on giving you the space and opportunity to be present, mindful and connected to yourself. This type of session is less about learning new strategies, nor is it about taking a lot of action. Instead it’s an opportunity to be introspective, to reconnect with your own intuition, and to take some much needed breathing room from the busy-ness of life.

Complementary Workshops:

  • The difference between compassion, empathy & sympathy
  • Practicing forgiveness
  • Beginners guide to reparenting yourself
  • Forming a healthier relationship with yourself
